After my mom was diagnosed with a rare type of brain cancer, my family was thrown into a whirlwind of doctors’ appointments, medical bills, and tough decision-making. While stressful, this has also been an incredible learning experience. I have gained an in-depth, personal understanding of how to navigate the healthcare industry. As a caregiver and advocate, I have appealed several billing and insurance decisions, established a safe, sustainable home health regimen, and managed relationships with a 15+ person healthcare team across numerous specialties.
